Worcester Bosch Fault Code D5 – Causes & Fixes in Glasgow & Surrounding Areas

Is your Worcester Bosch boiler displaying the D5 fault code? If so, your boiler is struggling to start because of a pump circulation issue. Without proper water flow, the system shuts down to prevent overheating. If you’re in Glasgow, Bearsden, Milngavie, Clydebank, Anniesland, Knightswood, Scotstoun, or Yoker, we can fix it—fast!

---

What Causes the D5 Error?

🔹 Faulty or Stuck Pump – If the pump isn’t circulating water properly, the boiler won’t operate.

🔹 Blocked or Sludged-Up System – Over time, dirt and debris can clog pipes and radiators, reducing flow.

🔹 Airlocks in the System – Trapped air can prevent water from moving properly.

🔹 Low Water Pressure – If the system doesn’t have enough water, circulation is affected.

---

How to Fix the D5 Fault Code

✅ Check & Repressurize the System – Look at the pressure gauge. If it’s below 1.0 bar, use the filling loop to top it up to 1.2 - 1.5 bar.

✅ Bleed Your Radiators – If there’s trapped air, releasing it can restore proper circulation.

✅ Reset the Boiler – Hold the reset button for 5 seconds and see if the system starts working.

✅ Still Not Working? – You may need a Gas Safe engineer to check the pump, flush the system, or replace faulty parts.
